A few weeks ago, Spanish magazine Inforetail, specialized in food business, retail and their auxiliary industries, featured EccoFreight’s latest developments, highlighting the company’s latest commitments towards sustainability in the logistics industry.

The news goes over EccoFreight’s trajectory, as the company is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2019. Inforetail highlighted that EccoFreight’s 2018 turnover amounted to 28 million euros, with more than 21,000 containers shipped throughout the year.

The news also address the company’s commitment to improving sustainability in the logistics sector, which has been EccoFreight’s strongest commitment since it was founded in 2014: “Ever since we funded the company in 2014, we have maintained a strong commitment towards sustainability, providing our clients with eco-friendly logistics solutions by making use of cutting-edge technologies as a tool to make it possible” states Fernando Giménez-Guervós, CEO of EccoFreight.

The co2 emissions assessment and reduction services provided by EccoFreight are another of the topics addressed by Inforetail, which highlights the use of EccoPrint as a tool for measuring greenhouse gas emissions in maritime transportation. Thanks to EccoPrint, “the total emissions from more than 1,800 routes have been measured in order to assess organizations’ carbon footprint and then help our clients plan carbon offset schemes specially designed for their needs” Inforetail adds.

Finally, the news features Eccologistics 360, a new project arising from EccoFreight’s know-how. Eccologistics 360 seeks to provide the logistics carbon footprint measurement services provided by EccoFreight to those companies that already have their logistical needs covered, as a tool for transparency and true certification of their environmental impact.
